The 2008 World Series of Poker kicked off with a bang! The first event is one of the new $10k buy-in Championships and a pro-heavy field of 352 players came to compete for the first bracelet. The game is Pot-Limit Hold 'Em and at the end of Day 1, Eli Elezra is the chipleader.
Shannon Elizabeth made an early exit in the tournament because she reportedly had Aces cracked twice in the first level of play. Fortunately Shannon has a new sponsor which is why Pokerazzo will be keeping a running track of her win/loss ratio during the entire WSOP!
